At normal temperature, the humidity is less than 70%, and the protection and health time takes 48 hours. For every 10 degrees drop in temperature, the protection health needs to increase by 2-4 times. Because the health takes too long, it is not recommended to carry out protective construction in the cold winter, especially in the environment below 0 degrees.
Low temperature environment affects the effect of stone recrystallization treatment
We know that stone recrystallization treatment is the biochemical reaction of the crystallization agent under the polishing of professional equipment, and the crystal lattice of the stone surface is restructured to form a stronger and more stable chemical composition. The chemical reaction requires a suitable temperature, and the effect and efficiency of stone crystallization at normal temperature is relatively good.
Stone care colleagues may have encountered this situation: the stone is paved with floor heating, and the surface is easy to dry when polishing, and it is not easy to throw out good results. In the cold north, the stone near the glass curtain wall is polished, and the effect of the stone surface is not available, mainly because the temperature next to the glass is low, which affects the chemical crystallization reaction of the stone.
Low temperature will also cause freezing and thawing of stone
The phenomenon of freeze-thaw is that when it is cold in winter, the stone gap inside or around freezes, resulting in expansion. The stress caused by water freezing in stone pores is one of the causes of stone cracks. People who know the principle of physicochemistry know that the smaller the pore diameter of the stone, the steam pressure of the water in the hole is correspondingly reduced, and the freezing point is decreased. In some very fine micropores, the freezing point of water can drop by tens of degrees Celsius. Therefore, the stone with small pores is not easy to be damaged by freezing, and some stone with large pores such as resplencent gold, golden flower beige, crack treatment is easy to be damaged by freezing.
